Antivaho Cinematográfico is an independent production company created by filmmaker Èrika Sánchez and editor and filmmaker Xavi Esteban. They created this brand with the aim of generating personal projects until the development phase, to later collaborate with consolidated production companies.
In addition, both work as freelance professionals for external production companies.
To date, Antivaho Cinematográfico has produced the documentary short films The Show (Èrika Sánchez and Xavier Esteban, 2013) and Camino de Mayo (May’s Path) (Èrika Sánchez and Xavier Esteban, 2015), as well as the video installations La Rosa y el Fuego (The Rose and The Fire) (Xavier Esteban, Jordi Oliveres and Lluc Mayol, 2014 ), Decálogo para la revolución individual (Decalogue for the Individual Revolution) (Èrika Sánchez and Xavier Esteban, 2014), Les màquines del temps (The Time Machines) (Èrika Sánchez and Xavier Esteban, 2011) and Sinfonía obrera (Worker’s Symphony) (Èrika Sánchez and Xavier Esteban, 2010).
Antivaho has recently released the short film Panteres by Èrika Sánchez at the Berlinale in 2020, and will premiere the documentary feature film Perifèria by Xavier Esteban and Odei A.-Etxearte.
