XAVI ESTEBAN CASAS

Xavi Esteban (1983) is an editor and director. In 2005 he joined the production company Sagrera Audiovisual as a documentary, fiction and television report editor. Since 2009 he has combined his role as editor with that of director. He has directed and edited the short documentary film Sinfonía obrera (Worker’s Symphony) (2010), Les màquines del temps (The Time Machines) (2011), Decálogo para la revolución individual (Decalogue for the Individual Revolution) (2014), The Show (2013) and Camino de Mayo (May’s Path) (2015). As editor, he highlights his work in the feature-length documentary film Mai és tan fosc (It Is Never Darker) (Èrika Sánchez, 2014) and the short film Panteres (Panthers) (Èrika Sánchez, 2019).

In 2014 he participated in an artistic residence at the Valparaíso Cultural Park with the project La Rosa y el fuego (The Rose and the Fire).

His extensive musical and visual background has enabled him to create interesting live shows with musicians such as Xavi Alías, Anímic, Esperit, etc.

In 2020 has directed and edited the documentary feature-length film Perifèria (Outskirts) co-directed with the journalist Odei A-. Etxearte.
